How Does It Work? (Overview)

NT-Dry ® attacks the bacteria that cause thrush and related fungal infections with a combination of naturally occurring mineral salts that do not burn or harm the tender areas of the hoof.

Meanwhile a proprietary blend of moisture-bonding clays absorb and dry the excess moisture in the hoof  destroying potential breeding grounds that would allow thrush to return. This is a great case example because this is the "not-obvious" type of thrush. You can see how the sulci (the un-natural crevice near the heel) is closing and literally "zipping up." An open sulcus crevice (which most folks call the "butt crack" ) is the clear indication that you are dealing with thrush. There should NOT be an opening here. Instead it should look like a chin-dimple. This horse will be regularly dusted until the sulcus closes and the "dimple" returns as normal. NOTE: After 5-6 days of treatment with NT-Dry you will likely notice a "shedding." This is a great sign that the product is working - because under that shedding tissue is healthy tissue! In other words, this means you are on your way to thrush free.
